Privacy policy
This policy describes how BeCharts ("we", "us") handles information when you use becharts.com and related services (the "Services"). Last updated: February 2, 2026.
1. What this covers
The Services include our website, chart editor, templates, and documentation. This policy does not apply to third-party sites we link to.
2. Information we process
- Usage and device data. We may collect technical information such as browser type, general location derived from IP (country or region), pages viewed, and interactions, including through analytics tools described in Section 4.
- Advertising and measurement data. If we show ads on the Services, our advertising partners (including Google) may use cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs) where applicable, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, personalize content and ads, and understand how ads perform. See Section 5.
- Your chart data. Much of the chart-building workflow runs in your browser. Unless you explicitly use a feature that sends data to our servers (for example, certain imports or cloud-backed features), your dataset and chart configuration may remain on your device.
- Support and communications. If you contact us, we keep the content of your message and contact details for as long as needed to respond and maintain records.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the Services, fix issues, understand aggregate usage, deliver and measure advertising where we use ad partners, comply with law, and keep the Services secure.
4. Analytics and audience measurement
We may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand traffic, navigation, and product usage. Analytics providers may set first- and third-party cookies or use similar technologies, collect device and browser information, and process IP-derived location at a coarse level, in line with their own policies and your account or consent settings where required.
You can control many cookies through your browser or device settings. For more on how Google uses data when you use our sites or apps, see How Google uses data from partner sites and apps.
5. Advertising, measurement, and Google as a third party
We may use advertising services (for example, Google AdSense or other Google advertising and measurement products) to show ads on the Services. When ads are enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may act as independent controllers or processors (depending on the product and region) and use information collected from the Services and elsewhere on the Internet.
What these partners may do
- Use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers (where applicable), web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to serve and personalize ads, measure ad delivery and effectiveness, and limit how often you see an ad.
- Perform measurement and audience analytics related to advertising (for example, conversions, impressions, and engagement).
- Combine information from the Services with data from other sites or apps that use their services, subject to their policies and applicable law.
For details on how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not operate a dedicated third-party consent management platform (CMP) or on-site cookie declaration product on the Services at this time. Depending on your region, applicable law, and Google's requirements for its own products, personalized ads and some measurement features may be limited or adjusted automatically. You can use browser or device settings, Google's ads and technologies links in this section, and industry opt-out tools where available.
Your choices for ads
- Manage certain Google ad settings at Google Ads Settings.
- Learn about cookies and similar technologies and browser controls in Google's Technologies overview.
- In some regions, laws may require consent or opt-outs before certain cookies or ads run. Where we do not show a dedicated preference center, partner defaults and your browser controls may apply.
6. Storage and retention
Server-side logs, analytics, and advertising-related data are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Local data stored in your browser is controlled by you; clearing site data removes it from your device where the technology allows.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, analytics, or advertising and measurement partners such as Google), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public. Those partners process information under their own policies and contracts where applicable.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
9. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details on our website.
For advertising and measurement, you may also use industry tools and browser controls described in Section 5.
10. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the date above when we do.
